Selling with Obama
From PSFK, numerous storefronts in SoHo have been seen with Obama based displays. Marketing is largely Identity politics and I’m not surprised to see this, but I would be interested to see the variety of industries and products which are using this kind of tie-in branding.
Also, are there any McCain tie-in’s?
My favorite so far:
Without any reference to the man this display encapsulates the geist of the campaign. Hope is stronger than fear, both personally and politically.
Also love how the letter “O”, a common if previously unnoticed thing, has become an inextricable symbol for Obama and his message. Own the everyday and you own the dialogue.

O as in also the symbol for unity. O as in the shape of the universe. O is pretty sexy, isn’t it? And sexy means multifaceted. And diversity is sexy then too. But just diversity, not the components of the diverse world. They have to do other things to be sexy. Like dress nice and stuff.
